Workshop dealing with FAIN System for Moravian Universities

On December 16, 2005 a workshop dealing with FAIN – system for assets inventory by bar codes integrated into mySAP was held by the ORIWIN, s.r.o. company at VUT Brno (Brno University of Technology).

At the beginning, FAIN solution was presented by the ORIWIN specialists. Its implementation was successfully completed at UTB (Tomas Bata University) in Zlín in the second half of last year. The assets inventory required by the law for 2005 was executed at UTB in Zlín by the means of presented system. It resulted not only in reasonably savings of time and human capacities and in crucial error reduction, but also in positive organization changes as to the assets registration system and in the whole inventory process at the university.

The second part of the workshop was focused on practical test work with a mobile terminal and answering concrete questions. Specialists of ORIWIN company shared their experience from the completed project at UTB in Zlín with the others and also Mgr.Monika Hrabáková, head of UTB IT Department, gave to the colleagues from other universities an interesting information about her practical experience with inventory by the means of the FAIN system.
