Bar Code System Enhancement in LEONI Slowakia
The company ORIWIN s.r.o. succeeded in tender for enhancement and upgrade of bar code system integrated into mySAP for the company LEONI Slowakia spol. s r.o. Nová Dubnica.
Bar code system integrated into mySAP has been used in LEONI Slowakia Nová Dubnica since the year 2000, nevertheless only in a purchasing stock till today. Regarding the new distribution centre construction, a requirement occurred to support expedition processes by bar codes as well. Simultaneously with the delivery system enhancement, the current technology (mobile terminals) on DOS platform is changed to Windows CE .NET 4.2.
Bar code implementation in the stock of finished products brings to LEONI Slowakia significant benefits in several following areas. At first it is possible to specify true location of every pallet in the warehouse and by this to determine storage bins of finished products and relevant packages, followed by pallet movement monitoring from its entering till leaving the stock. At second all deliveries can be checked with the order even before their loading to a truck which substantially decreases the number of possible complaints and returned deliveries.
Resulting from the above benefits, the LEONI Slowakia company profits significantly by higher efficiency and better throughput in storage, production, assembly, packing and goods loading processes.
