MFM System 2.0 - new version of bar code system integrated into mySAP

The company ORIWIN, s.r.o. introduced a new version of the MFM System (Material Flow Management) at the Brno 46th International Machinery Fair. The MFM System is intended for mySAP customers that want to use bar code or RFID technology for material flow monitoring.

The basic difference between the new 2.0 version and the old one is the enlarged functionality of warehouse operations that fully cover the standard SAP functionality in MM and WM (storage units, section warehouse…)

As to the technology, the MFM System went through more extensive changes enabling better flexibility and quicker implementation of the system. The main improvements are the following:

• Separation of the application Business logic from the communication Middleware - this solution enables in the future an easy integration of MFM System by the means of SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) that is a part of new mySAP Business Suite
• Creation of a new communication system between MFM Server and MFM Mobile Client enabling on-line/off-line work of mobile equipment - crucial reduction of necessary investments into RF net
• Support of OS Windows CE.NET 4.2 and Windows Mobile 2003 for MFM Mobile Client - enabling the system to be independent on concrete mobile terminal
• Support of more application servers of mySAP system
